North Carolina Literacy Association
Every North Carolinian should possess the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in a global economy – and to prepare their children to thrive. Strong reading, writing, math and English language skills are the foundation.
Community-based literacy programs are uniquely positioned to help individuals build these skills. We combine strong, proven instructional practices with the flexibility and confidentiality needed to meet the goals of our students.
The North Carolina Literacy Association (NCLA) supports the development and sustained growth of independent community-based literacy programs through public awareness, advocacy and the sharing of ideas and methodologies.
By working together, we can strengthen all our communities. And we can help to improve the lives of all our students.
Attention Prospective Volunteers:
Please note that posts in this section have been added by independent literacy programs. Please contact these organizations directly, as they are not affiliated with this site. Literacy Connections has not investigated these opportunities and does not necessarily endorse them.
