Literacy Friend
The mission of the Nebraska State Reading Association is to lead in the promotion of literacy in the state of Nebraska through collaboration, advocacy, and professional development.

Goals

Build Bridges across the different audiences:individuals, parents, local councils, school districts, colleges/universities, other professional organizations, businesses, state government and IRA.

Strategies:

A. Build bridges through increasing communication
B. Build bridges through increasing opportunities for involvement

Tasks/Action Steps:

1. Continue to enhance and update the website
2. Restructure and enhance the organization of the committee structure
3. Organize practices, procedures and expectations across councils and within the state
4. Increase membership with challenges to each council to grow at least 10%
5. Enhance the communication across different organizations, colleges, etc.
