KOREH L.A. volunteers spend a maximum of one hour, once a week, reading with a pre-school or elementary school child in the Los Angeles Unified School District. They also engage the students in fun activities and games to inspire a love of reading.
Our volunteers receive a three-hour orientation and training, and then are matched with a student chosen by their school. They also participate in periodic enrichment events with fellow volunteers in order to learn, share experiences, and celebrate the work they have done.
Volunteers can choose to work in either an elementary school or a preschool.
