Rating: - Effective but disgustingly sweet
I use Alka Seltzer Gold. I'm allergic to aspirin (which is an ingredient in regular Alka Seltzer) but Gold doesn't have it. Gold is hard to find, so when I saw Heartburn in the store I grabbed it up. It's flavored with lemon-lime and a large dose of artificial sweetener. Gold has basically no sweeteners. As for the comparison with Tums. I use Tums when my stomach burns. Rating: - This is Basically the Same As Tums, But More Expensive
The active ingredient in Alka-Selzer heartburn relief is a sodium bicarbonate solution(acid neutralizing), much like what one would find in Tums. So why pay a high price for what is available in the much cheaper Tums?
