Rating:  - Good for ages 10 and up as a supplementYou really can't just "look and learn" a language. You have to hear it, read it, speak it and even write it to get it in your head. I do use this book as a staple in my Spanish classes - ages 4 to 18. The students enjoy looking through it and learning new words as well as using the sentences to increase vocabulary. But, it does not show the pronunciation marks to help us know how to pronounce things. Dumbest dictionary I've ever seen. Rating:  - Just as it says......A Picture Dictionary! This is a great book for learning new spanish words. The words are alphabetized by english and display the spanish translation, a cartoon picture, and a sample sentence in spanish using the word. Good for learning new words and a little bit of some sentence structure and verb tenses if you're somewhat familiar with spanish verbs already.
