I can put you on my shelf. Books can be for silly times or quiet, for reading alone or sharing . . . but always to enjoy. A small child discovers their magic for the very first time in this exuberant ode to book appreciation by award-winning poet Kristine O'Connell George. Brightly colored illustrations are a perfect match for the spare, rhyming text, and thick pages with rounded corners make this a special first "real" book for baby. Average Rating:

He loves it so much that he will be getting his own copy for Christmas. He loves books, and so he really relates to the story. He especially likes it when the boy in the story puts the book on his head and then I put the "Book!" on HIS head. He always gives a big smile. One warning, though, don't get this book unles you like reading the same book with your little one over, and over, and over again! Has fun 'reading' it on his own, putting in the shelf all by himself. He even reads it to his cat and shows it to his baby sister/brother. Four Stars. A sturdy ... Read More Rating: - Adorable!Kristine O'Connell George does a beautiful job sharing the joy of a first book with readers young and old. The illustrations are colorful! Really a joy to read. I recently checked it out from the library to share with my 11 month old and she will be receiving her own copy for her first birthday. It is perfect for toddlers because of its stiff and easy to turn pages and rounded corners. Enjoy!
